--drew was getting ready for his first day of school
--i was getting ready for my first day back at work
--i was getting ready for my first day back at work
--and drew slept overnight in his room for the first time
i tried not to think about any of these firsts while enjoying 12 wonderful weeks together with baby drew. what a blessing he is in our lives and i'm soooo grateful to have been able to spend that time with him.
i know school will be good for him, but it didn't make it any easier once it came time to let him go. thankfully the school has a webcam so i can sneak a peak at him throughout the day. it certainly makes being away just a little more bearable!
but anyway, he had a great first day -- smiling, playing and flirting with all the teachers and girls in his class. so much so that he didn't get hardly any sleep during the day, and crashed for almost three hours once he got home last night.

ahhh! the web cam is definitely a saving grace, it is fun to watch Mommy pick Drew up from school and get to peek in on Drew's activities throughout the day. Love the monkey!
