then and now…

this afternoon, miss mckinsey randomly changed callie jane into this precious pink and white stripe sleeper dress. i was immediately thrown back into that chilly hospital room just a few months ago.

reason being, my growing-like-a-weed princess turns THREE MONTHS tomorrow and this happens to be the same dress that was way to big when we had her pictures taken at just one day young. and ironically, she hadn’t worn it since.

then, she wouldn’t open her eyes for anything and now, those precious blues will melt your heart.

then, her tiny little hands barely made it out of the sleeves and now, those chubby little fingers are attempting to grab at her toys.

then, her lipstick pink lips would pucker when she cried and now, they give a gummy smile when daddy comes home and smack like crazy when she’s hungry.

then, she would sleep for about two hours at a time and now, we are so thankful she sleeps at least seven or eight hours a night.

then, she always had a matching bow in those dark locks, and now her hair is turning a reddish brown…and always had a bow.

then, we were just excited to have a healthy baby girl and now, we are so blessed to have this sweet baby jane to love everyday.
