one fish, two fish…

pools, beaches, bathtubs and splash parks? she could take ‘em or leave ‘em all. for two years, callie has been completed uninterested in water and much preferred watching from the sidelines.

until labor day weekend!!

  

we went to hotel de nordquist for the holiday and she FINALLY came out of her shell.

pool day 1: she struggled at first trying to get her torso balanced with a floatie. but within a few hours, she mastered an unassisted swim across the length of the pool. I think she even surprised herself. exclaiming “I made it!!” once she got to the other side.

pool day 2: she would slide into daddy’s arms off the side of the pool, but still wasn’t sure about getting her head underwater.

and by pool day 3: she was jumping off the side completely unassisted.

so proud of my little fishy.

  

all that swimming makes a girl tired…

so tired, that she literally fell asleep eating lunch one afternoon. too funny.
