it doesn’t come as a surprise to most of you that josh and i are HUGE hockey fans. while lil’ yarger still doesn’t fit into the Stars jersey josh gave to me on his birth day (scary picture alert!), you can imagine our excitement to take him to his first game...which was our first of the season too!
puck drop was 7:30 on friday night, which happens to be about bedtime for our little guy so we weren’t even sure how long the adventure would last…coupled with the fact, that he’d only napped for an hour or so at school that afternoon. lucky for us, he took a quick power nap in the car. when he awoke, he must have thought we’d transported him into some alternate universe. he was intrigued and mesmerized by all the lights, noise and sheer number of people.
but, he finally warmed up to the idea and really enjoyed himself. we had a few open seats in our row, which made it easy for him to play around during the game and make friends with the other people sitting around us.
we bought into a season ticket package last year and finally got to experience our incredible seats just four rows from the glass and right next to the zamboni entrance. so, i also got to test out my new zoom lens with some fun action shots during the game.
and of course, we were their lucky charm as they finally pulled out a W-I-N!!
