so i know it’s only mid-february, but i’m am sooooo over this cold and ready for spring. we’ve had snow three or four times already this winter, where we normally only get one icy day. temperatures have been ridiculously cold and i’m ready to wear something other than boots. never mind the fact that drew and i have been sick for most of 2010…and now it’s finally caught up with josh. bah humbug…:)
unless you are frozen under a rock, you probably know that we got record snow fall in DFW yesterday. there are several reported numbers, but last i heard we got just under 14 inches in 24 hours here in keller – which is just insane! i don’t think vancouver has had this much snow all year. ours started about 2am on thursday morning and it literally snowed non-stop until midnight. despite my annoyance with the cold, it has been absolutely beautiful and oddly reminded me of our wonderful trip to jackson hole this same time last year.
after picking drew up from school early yesterday, we bundled up and went outside to play in the snow but drew wasn’t having any part of it. probably because the snow was up to his knees, so he couldn’t really walk around, he doesn’t like hats and when you put gloves on him, he doesn’t understand that his hands still function….so funny. but we got some good pictures and quickly went back inside to snuggle by the fire!
