staying in the water is the only way to beat the Texas heat, so we splish-splashed our way through last weekend with some old friends, new friends and good ol’ family fun.
on friday, my TTU roommate (ali) and her boys were in town from florida for a family wedding, so we got to visit and enjoy the sunshine, while josh grilled us some burgers and hot dogs. zac and drew were born just 10 days apart, so it was fun to see them play and interact together and drew was in awe of his big brother, logan, with those curly locks and his fun silly bandz…why didn’t i think of those?
on saturday, one of my co-workers had a splash party for his son bryce’s 3rd birthday. the kiddos stayed cool and had a great time on the swing set’s water slide, old school slip-n-slide and kiddy pools, while the adults (well most of them at least) enjoyed icy cold adult beverages for refreshment. the belly and i just sweated it out ;) at one point, drew found himself surrounded by little ladies at the pool…so precious!
on sunday, we packed it up and headed over to dad’s to relax and unwind in his pool. the grill master helped GH (grandpa hank) cook some delicious fajitas, spent a few moments sunbathing with mommy, splashed daddy, erin and matt in the pool (where was my camera?) and then tore it up on top of the pool table.
