lost pines…

After a great Thanksgiving Day with our dads, we drove to Austin for the weekend to visit with Charlotte and her boys who were down from Chicago. We met at Lost Pines in Bastrop which was a perfect place and space to run, play and laugh. The resort is insanely kid-friendly with activities galore and the brief fall-like weather we had was awesome.

      

On Sunday morning, Mimi and Pepa coordinated a pony ride for the kiddos. I thought for sure Drew wouldn’t want to participate, while Josh thought Callie would be hesitant. Much to our surprise, both were super-excited and loved every minute of it. Callie has since added “a pony” to her Christmas wish list. Nice.

       

Despite all the bickering and pushing between these two, I’m most thankful they love each other -- at least when they think no one is looking.
