we've been watching oprah's new show "the big give" (sundays on abc), and for a reality show i think she's got the right idea. i love watching extreme home makeover; it is wholesome, inspiring family television. but most of the stories are sooo heartbreaking for these overwhelming deserving families. for the emotional types (like me), it's just tooo tramatic to watch weekly. same reason, i rarely watch the news...
so, the big give is my new replacement. take out the competition and the shows are pretty similar. and of course i've found tears streaming down my cheeks. but the big give shows how easily each one of us can give small, give big or even just give thanks to our families, friends, co-workers and even strangers to make a difference in their lives.
