and then i found an adorable polka dot patterned bedding at target. we enlisted the help of the sewing goddess/grandmother to make it our own -- it had to be customized for this prince or princess!! well, after scouring the metroplex for fabric that coordinated with this unusual polka dot pattern, we found a green suede and yellow ticking fabric that matched perfect. molly slaved for weeks on the most precious bumper pad, changing table cover, crib skirt and more...
oh, i almost forgot about the paint debocle... i bought two gallons of green paint based on the SAME formula we used in the dining room. molly came to help josh paint the room and the first coat went on just fine, but when they put on the second coat all of the trim work was darker shade. it was a total mystery. maybe it wasn't dry yet? so they let it dry and then went back around the trim for another coat, still a different color?! long story short and three weeks later, turns out the first gallon of paint wasn't formulated correctly. so, another can of paint and a third coat on the wall, josh heroically managed to get a consistent color throughout...what a hassle!!
there are still some details to be done, but here are the room pics

MANY THANKS to Molly, Josh and Mom for your contributions to make Baby Ya Ya's room PERFECT!!
i suppose the real masterpiece is still in the works -- just 7 more weeks!!
