beach on a budget....

i'm not very good with that whole budgeting concept (never have been, probably never will be), but i managed to find some GREAT deals while shopping for our upcoming trip. i’m not packed, but definitely ready to go and spent $150 for all the essentials!

sunscreen ($20)

the most important purchase. this origins outsmart sunscreen is oil free, 25SPF and has a hint of tint to give my face some coverage...PERFECT!

swim suits ($20 per piece)

i found these swim separates at kohl’s. the skirt bottom is adorable and the bikini top is reversible, so it's like two suits in one. and then i found two matching tankini tops...so it's really four suits for $80!

 

 

beach tote & towel (free!) mom bought me the perfect straw bag and a cute pink/white stripe towel just for the trip.

jackie o sunglasses ($10)

in my world, these are sure to get beat up, drooled on, scratched and then lost. so i opt for the unbeatable prices, yet fashionable designs, at walmart and target.

metallic flip flops ($5)

you can't beat old navy's flip flops and they have new metallic colors this year. i grabbed the bronze!

 

cover-up ($10)

another target treasure, this xhiliration coverup is super cute with the cut out tie-back and fun berry color.

reading material ($25)

magazines, magazines and  more magazines. but, i also have mommywood by tori spelling and always looking up by michael j fox. hopefully, i can get a few pages of reading in with all the moms, grandmas and aunts on hand.

 

only thing else i’ll need is a bartender -- this is vacation after all! hopefully, i can find one upon arrival…
