rarely do we go on vacation with nothing on the agenda. but our trip to myrtle beach last weekend was a healthy dose of (much-needed) rest and relaxation. the house was amazing, sunrise was spectacular and the waves crashing on the surf was beautiful music to my ears.
we read lots of books and magazines, played with cars, trains and bubbles, shot some pool, drank several beverages and even took a few naps on that fabulous porch (not necessarily in that order)!
we grilled at the house two nights, and the other night we had an amazing dinner at greg norman’s australian grill (thanks erin & matt). the food, service and view were excellent. we sat on the covered patio as this awesome storm rolled through. of course being the crazy weather person i am, we had the radar up on my phone and took tons of pictures as it approached us. matt’s been living in california for several years, so he’s not used to our grandiose thunderstorms.
and believe it or not, our one big adventure into town was to visit ripley’s aquarium. drew wasn’t nearly as impressed as josh and i were with the sharks, octopus, eels and sea horses!
