it was 83 degrees in abilene on wednesday and i have zero presents wrapped underneath my tree, so it’s difficult to grasp that christmas is just one week away.
since i’m looking for a little (or a LOT of) inspiration, here are five things that scream HAPPY HOLIDAYS to me.
jello poke cake – this is a must have every year. i’m not sure ours ever looked this martha stewart, but it always tastes so good!
mimosas – obviously this hasn’t always been a holiday tradition, but it has been a staple with our christmas morning breakfast for several years now!
a christmas story – who can pass up the 24-hour marathon of one of the greatest holiday movies. Fa ra ra ra ra, ra ra ra ra!
decorating cookies – my mom always made the softest sugar cookies. we’d spend hours decorating them until someone (that’d be me) had consumed all the sprinkles. it was so special to experience drew and grammy continuing that tradition this year!
galleria gals trip – back in the day, mom, erin and i made it an annual event to have a power shopping girls weekend, where we’d spend the night at the dallas galleria westin hotel and finish (or start and finish) our holiday shopping. i’m super excited we are reinstating the tradition this year/this weekend at the houston galleria. so, i’m off to houston today and josh is going to keep both of the kiddo at home. thanks a million babe!
ho, ho, ho…merry christmas!
what are your family’s holiday traditions?

Ha, last night I had to state my favorite holiday tradition and the first thing that came to mind was TBS and 24 hours of a Christmas Story. WT or Tradition? Eh...See you in few hours, can't wait!!
