we’re not sure what happened, so i’ll ask you.
as you can see, these sweet cheeks broke out into a massive rash on sunday afternoon. unfortunately, she has super sensitive skin to begin with and because she’s been teething for…uh, months…we’ve tried several products for the chapped and irritated skin. none of which have really worked btw, but this seemed very different.
drew and i had gone to lowes and when we came home i noticed the area around her right eye was red and swollen, and within a few hours it had spread over her whole face but wasn’t anywhere else.
no new food were introduced today, so i’m pretty sure it wasn’t a food allergy. she did wear a new shirt that hadn’t been pre-washed, but only her face was affected?!
of course when i called the pediatrician, she told me, “it’s really difficult to diagnose a skin rash over the phone”…uh, thanks…i really just wanted to know if it would be okay to give the baby girl some benadryl.
so we ran up to the pharmacy and by the time she went to bed it had helped a bit, but i’m still a little concerned and struggling to figure out what happened.
any thoughts or similar experiences?

gorgeous!
that looks like eczema. you could try hydrocortizone (sp?) cream. if that doesn't work, the doc might recommend a mild steroid cream, which is the only thing that clears mine up when it gets really irritated. hope that helps!
