ABCs and 123…

Here we are again, with just a few days to go, I put together some thoughts and memories to describe the beautiful and emotional journey of our THIRD pregnancy.

Just as I did with the SECOND and FIRST (if you want to reflect on sweet memories).

stockyards2

A: Avocados. On my Chick-fil-a and grilled cheese sandwiches.

B: Butter. That’s peanut butter and chocolate almond butter. Together.

C: Contractions. Braxton Hicks consistently for about six weeks. Fun times.

D: Day care antics. Recently, Drew’s been getting a tummy ache as soon as we pull into the school parking lot and Cal has been abnormally clingy. Think they know change is a-comin’

E: Eviction notice. Come out before Monday or we’re coming to get you little one ;)

F: Fitness or Fit Less? I tried to walk at the mall during the hot summer months, but that didn’t last long.

G: Grandparents. They are all beyond excited to spoil yet another baby Yarger.

H: Halloween. Looks like the lil’ pumpkin will be here just in time to trick or treat.

I: Ice. Chomp. Chomp. Keeps me cool; considering it’s been 85-90 degrees thru October.

J: Jake Mitchell. Complete coincidence that both names are in our family history.

K: King bed. We have just enough room to snuggle with one more.

L: Lbs gained = 30.

M: Milk and cookies. Every night.

N: Nickname? The only nickname given to this one thus far has been “3.0”.

O: Organics. More knowledgeable this go-round, so we’ve made organic produce and dairy a staple.

P: Prune juice. Enough said.

Q: Question of gender. This week, Cal and Drew are both convinced baby 3.0 a girl. And I haven’t had any strong feelings one way or the other.

R: Reese Kennedy. Recycled our favorite girl name from 2008 (a la pregnancy with Drew).

S: Sweet siblings. Both regularly hug and kiss my belly. Makes mommy mush.

T: Third times a charm. With the exception of frequent heartburn, this one’s been pretty easy.

U: Ultrasounds (or lack there of). We only had one preview of 3.0 around 5 months (compared to bi-weekly with Cal).

V: Vinegar. Salt and vinegar chips that is. Can’t get enough.

W: Work. What a roller coaster this year has been for our family. Grateful, sad and still unsure of what’s to come.

X: eXtraordinary sentimental considering this could be my last pregnancy. we shall see.

Y: YES, we can go to the playground again today. Best after school entertainment for two bustling toddlers and anxious siblings.

Z: Zzzzz. Oh, to be able to sleep thru the night again. Maybe some day…

Your daddy, big brother, big sister and I can’t wait to meet you sweetness!!

xoxo.
