now this is cold...

friday morning it was 23 degrees at our house, so we all bundled up and headed to school and work. this was definitely the coldest morning we've had all season.

i just thought it was bitterly cold, until i remembered those us airways passengers standing on the wing of their airplane in the middle of the hudson river when it was 20 degrees in new york city.

then, charlotte sent me a snap shot of the temperature reading on her car dashboard. it was MINUS 18 degrees in chicago on friday morning. okay, so maybe i won't complain about the cold -- at least for a little while...

and in true texas fashion, it was back into the mid-70s all weekend. no wonder we're all sick!!
