the drew bear started teething on monday and it's been down hill all week...crying, drooling, more drooling and more crying. poor thing!!
on tuesday, drew had on an adorable new onesie the jandes' had sent him for Christmas. it said, "the louder i scream, the faster they pick me up." so true this week!! we had driven over to richardson to have lunch with erin and dad. we hadn't been there 15 minutes and drew puked ALL OVER me. despite the stinch of formula, we decided to go to the galleria for a little shopping. we hadn't been there 5 minutes and i realized i'd forgotten the gift cards i was planning to use. drew and i headed home. i had my arm in the back seat driving down 635, trying to hold drew's pacifier in his mouth while he was screaming his head off. not so safe!!
so that afternoon during a diaper change, i noticed a message on the inside of this new onesie. it literally said, "hang in there, the smiles are worth it." seriously? it was like a message from God and all i needed to make it through the rest of the week.
drew turned four months today and his two bottom teeth have just broken through. hopefully this week will be a little better for the little guy...

what....two teeth! who would have known!!!! Glad you made it through the week, mommy. He truly has an adorable smile. Are you ready to go back to the office.
It's the little things that get us through. That's for sure. And the expectations...are to expect the unexpected.
I know it's been rough and the first two are the hardest on everyone. It gets easier and then there's Cheetos Puffs. Crazy, but it works for teething as do cold carrot sticks to gnaw on. Oh...and the homeopathic teething tablets by Hylands. Keep all on hand for upcoming eruptions and hang in there.
