small town. football. crosstown rival.

it’s a super bowl of sorts for abilene, so it seemed perfect to be the kiddos first-ever high school football game and our first game since moving to town. well it wasn’t much of a game with a 42-0 halftime score but, it was a huge family event considering uncle danny (white hat at mid-field) was the HEAD referee under the friday night lights.

drew decided [momentarily] to cheer for “the red team” aka Cooper HS, much to the dismay of the Eagle alumni surrounding us. although, Opa would have been proud.

josh was 3rd generation graduate of “The High” aka Abilene HS, senior class president, played baseball, lettered in basketball AND a mr AHS nominee.

i ADORE the picture of him with our little (could-be) Eagles.

and i LOVE that i am his homecoming queen.

Love Friday night football! Wish we could have been at the game with you all (except Chris & I would have been cheering for the Cougars!) Looking forward to seeing you this weekend!
