perfect…

our overnight at The Cliffs Resort at Possum Kingdom Lake was THE perfect getaway.

it’s only an hour and a half drive, but we felt light years away from the chaos and stress which has been our lives for the last few months.

after grabbing a quick bite and our room keys, we went straight to the SPAHHH for an hour massage which set the tone for the weekend.

the weather was insanely beautiful and our view was spectacular, so we went exploring.

first stop was the ship store and marina. it was a long windy hike down “the cliff” (with several deer sightings), so I was delighted to find a sandy beach area to relax and sink my feet in. on our way back, we peeked through the windows of this unfinished $3.3M mediterranean mansion perched on a hill just atop the marina. wow!

that’s a shadow of us on the green, as we dined al fresco, and then enjoyed a gorgeous sunset.

josh checked-in on his mom and the kiddos before bedtime. all was well, so we headed back to our patio to catch some of the evening’s meteor shower.

absolute perfection.
