so i mentioned those rookies on roadways and waterways -- july 4th weekend is actually the 2nd most dangerous weekend of the year. stupid people do stupid things! but, i was truly impressed by the number of cars that pulled over to offer assistance when this truck flipped over right in front of us on 114 on sunday afternoon.
sometimes i really wonder, but people do care! at least until the driver (on his own accord) climbed out of his truck DRUNK! he had been swerving in and out of traffic and then pulled onto the shoulder to pass some cars and SLAMMED into this abandoned car.
luckily, nobody else was involved and/or injured in the accident. although, can you imagine that car owner….you run out of gas, come back with a gas can and the back end of your convertible is GONE.
in all seriousness, i really wonder if the minor scratch on that truck driver’s elbow was enough to teach a lesson. hopefully, he’s in jail this evening.
please don’t drink and drive!
