this morning drew bypassed his door/car seat and walked around to the drivers side. bless him, he can’t reach the handle but he was on his tippy toes trying so hard to get my door open…apparently he wanted to drive us to school this morning.
he was enthralled with all of the buttons, turning the radio knobs and even posed for a picture. we were already running late (what’s new), but i let him explore and play around for at least 5 minutes. well, when it came time to get into his seat it was an all out melt down. i had to restrain him with my forearm to get his arms in the car seat belt and the tears were flowing like faucets.
he’s been on an emotional roller coaster the last 4 or 5 days…one minute joyful and loving and the next minute he’s responding to everything with an emphatic “nnnnaaaahhhhhoooooo!!!” i think the door is cracked and we are getting our first glimpse of the terrible twos….
