being the last weekend just the three of us, we wanted to do something fun and special with drew. thought about the zoo (too hot!), maybe the aquarium (too far!), possibly a fireworks show (past our bedtime!) and finally decided a good old-fashioned trip to the toy store was the way to go.
we don’t have a toys r’ us near us, so I think he’s only been to a REAL toy store just once before...the toy aisles at walmart and target just don’t compare. and since he’s just recently become fascinated with toy story and woody (“woo-kie”), we wanted to round up as much toy story loot this little sheriff could handle.
they had a HUGE display with all things woody, buzz and the rest of the gang. well, not all things…i still have yet to find a traditional woody rag doll?! but we found TS games, TS legos, TS bath toys, TS figurines, TS books, TS puzzles, TS furniture and more…what a marketing jackpot!
i think we went down EVERY aisle, pushed EVERY demonstration button and touched EVERY toy in the place. he finally decided on a TS lego set, TS look and find book, TS bubble bath and the Tag Junior reading system with a TS book.
coincidentally ;) babies r’ us was right next door and i had quite a few last minute things to pickup for callie. so the boys followed me around, while i loaded up the cart with diapers, wipes, bouncy chair, formula, baby book, bottle supplies and more.
all the while, drew was doing the head bob on josh’s shoulder and he NEVER falls asleep in public. so, we grabbed a quick bite for lunch and didn’t make it out of the parking lot, before this toy story had come to an end!

that is so much fun. Still looking for Woodie, we will keep our eyes peered for one. See you all in just a few days! Hope the Lit'l Sheriff had a nice nap on the way home. m/p
