the cw project: cookie monster

drew and i had many o’ date nights at jason’s deli in keller last spring and summer while josh was working. one visit in particular, i remember a family with an infant sitting next to us who was feeding herself a medley from the salad bar. my sweet DB would surely eat all his fruit and with some convincing might have a few bites of sandwich. while the pediatrician keeps saying picky is normal, i was slightly jealous.

flash forward to this afternoon, drew, callie and i were having a lunch date at jason’s deli in abilene while josh was working. drew and i ordered our usual, and i gathered a hodgepodge from the salad bar for callie. he ate his fruit (shocking!) and she made a enormous mess with her medley, then sampled from our plates and might have eaten more than drew and i combined. proud mommy.

i mentioned before, callie’s only incident in the BLW process was with a teething cookie. attempt #2 (picture above) was obviously a knock down drag out, but this cutie pie cookie monster found success and satisfaction. and since only one of her four top teeth has broken the gum, i see more crazy cookie messes (immediately followed by bath) in the near future.
