theme { what they say }
i find it difficult not to compare developmental milestones of the first after having a second. callie is quickly approaching 8 months and almost ready to move up to the next class at school. but they told me the other day, she needs to be bottle feeding independently before she can transition. the girl will feed herself pork tenderloin and vegetable medley, but has been so disinterested in holding that cup o’ milk. and the only frame of reference we have is drew holding his bottle by 4 months. so i know it’s just a baby step, but i’m going all serious and sappy here (fair warning).
my sweet doll baby. those piercing eyes, chubby love arms and puckered lips. i’m so proud of you for holding your bottle today. and thank you for reminding me that we should always be true to ourselves.
“to be nobody but yourself in a world which is doing its best, night and day, to make you everybody else means to fight the hardest battle which any human being can fight; and never stop fighting.” ~ e e cummings

No two children are alike - that is what makes them so special! I love the differences in their little personalities . So proud she is holding her bottle and feeding herself so well. Callie girl is growing up!
