morning cup o' chaos…

weekday mornings = crazy chaos

mostly because we all snuggle together watching cartoons waaaay too long, which has a snow ball effect for the rest of the morning’s to dos. which includes teeth brushing, making breakfast, diaper changes, getting dressed, making lunch, makeup (ha!), clearning bottles, restocking back packs, looking for blankies, looking for shoes, drink your milk and so on.

sure, i’d probably have less grey hair if i did some of those things each night before going to bed, but then i wouldn’t have anything to do in the morning. i’m not a coffee drinker, we don’t get a newspaper, my two year old would demand more despicable me video clips if i pulled out the iPad and i refuse to watch (even the abilene) news with kiddos in the room.

so instead, i compounded our chaos last week by adding a photo shoot to the mix just before we headed out the door each morning. surprisingly, they were both very agreeable, no tears were shed and i got quite a few silly snaps.

 

 

 

 

 

as for me, i’ll neither confirm nor deny any tears. but i did get to savor their sweet faces just one more time each day before whisking them off to play and learn.
